Rajasthani  (2013)

A longtime friend of mine, Sajjan Singh Rathore, translated The Little Prince in Rajasthani. I was introduced to Sajjan in 1980 by Gayatri Devi, the Maharani of Jaipur. At that time, he was in charge of the library of the palace and served the royal family as biographer.

In December 2013, Sajjan's connections allowed for the edition of The Little Prince in the language of Rajasthan (literally "the Land of Princes") to be officially presented during a press conference held at the Palace of His Excellency Devraj Singh, the young Maharajah of Jaipur who was then 17 years old.

The book was never put up for sale in India. Sajjan Singh Rathore personally arranged for its free distribution to village schools in Rajasthan.
